Kodac's 75th Birthday
You are invited to join the celebration of my 75th at Wild Heaven in Avondale on Thursday April 25th from 6 to 9. I will perform with Phillip Raines on sax and Ammed Solomon on percussion. Rupert Fike and other poets will read, plus the Expand Band will perform. I will release a vinyl record of “Lovin’ Soul,” which will be available at the event. The new version features 6 songs from the CD plus three additional songs. No cover.

Kodac' s Last Thursday of Poetry & Song
I will hold a CD release at Wild Heaven in Avondale on October 26th. In addition we will feature the ExPand Band with Bill Fleming, Craig Rafuse, Bob Visentin, and Steve Baird. On this Last Thursday of Poetry and Song I will play some sparce versions of some of the songs from “Lovin’ Soul.” You can expect other musicians and poets to perform starting around 6:30 pm.

On July 27th we will hold the Last Thursday of Poetry and Song at Wild Heaven in Avondale between the hours of 6 and 9 pm. Our featured musician will be Marvin Jackson, who will perform on his birthday, which we will celebrate with him. Other poets and musicians will also perform including yours truly.

Charles McNair Book Release at Wild Heaven
Kodac will be performing in support of Charles McNair’s release of his new novel, The Epicureans, at Wild Heaven in Avondale on December 21st from 6pm to 10pm.

The 27th will be the last of the Last Thursday shows at Wild Heaven in Avondale for this year. I want to reward some of those who have been so important this season. As a result I’m going to give more time to Rupert Fike, Marvin Jackson, and Silvia Medrano-Edelstein, instead of one featured guest. Phillip Raines who has been a major participant in the event will join me and Marvin. I will probably ask Marc LaFountain to read an extra poem. The performances will take place between 6p and 9p with no cover.

Starting in April, 2001, I put on a show at Wild Heaven brewery in Avondale, Georgia called “Kodac’s Last Thursday of Poetry and Song.” Named so because it takes place on the last Thursday of each month. The location is in the beer garden, so the first season went through October. We are in the second season now. We showcase poets and musicians before our featured performer comes on for a longer set. I close each show with a performance of spoken word and song. Usually several musicians join me. The event takes place between the hours of 6 and 9 pm.
